The National Gallery of Australia is bringing the full body of Sidney Nolan’s ‘Ned Kelly’ series to Geelong for the first time in over a decade.
Featured at the Geelong Gallery, the collection will be on show from 2 March 2019 to 26 May 2019. Made up of 26 paintings, the collection allows visitors a chance to become immersed in some of the nation’s most poignant and iconic 20th century art.
Highlighting the importance of younger generations experiencing the work of one of our most established artists, NGA Director Dr Gerard Vaughan believes it is ‘essential that all Australians have equal opportunity to access these remarkable works.’
Don’t miss out! The City of Greater Geelong is thrilled to host to these remarkable works, with many locals and tourists already showing interest. Tickets to the full exhibition are available at geelonggallery.org.au. Prices range from $6 – $11.
