Do you fancy yourself as a professional cyclist, or perhaps you just enjoy riding to work, maybe you’re an avid Cadel Evans fan? If you’re into bicycling in just about any capacity, then the annual Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is the event for you!
The cycling extravaganza, which will take place this weekend on Saturday 1 February and Sunday 2 February, is a pro event that will see the likes of Tour de France winners Cadel Evans and Greg LeMond participating alongside many other elite cyclists.
The event also has a ‘People’s Ride’ race, which is open to cyclists of all ages and abilities, enabling just about anyone to don their cycling gear and get involved.
Riders will travel from the Geelong Waterfront to Barwon Heads and then onto Torquay and back. Courses range from 35km to 111km and present the opportunity to ride alongside some of the best cyclists in the world, while enjoying the stunning natural scenery and nature of the Greater Geelong Area.
